Tooltip is a box with text that shows when a reader points to a data point on the data visualization.
You can customize the content of the tooltip and add text and data values about the data point.

Adding a tooltip to your data visualization
- In the editor, click on the data visualization
- Click on ‘Tooltips’
- Select ‘Auto’ to add a tooltip with auto-generated content, or select ‘Custom’ to customize the tooltip content
Custom Tooltip options
- Select fields in ‘Title’ and ‘Content’ that will show in your custom tooltip.
- To add your own custom text select ‘Add custom text’
- Use ‘Add custom text for aggregated rows’ if your data point contains more than one row (charts that group by or aggregate multiple rows). You can display a text for each of the rows.
- Check ‘Hide colors’ if your have selected fields with colors assigned and would like to hide them.
